The integration gives SolarEdge owners a local route to their energy data. It reads production, energy, voltage, current, temperature, and operating state from an inverter over Modbus TCP instead of waiting on a cloud service.

Nine connected changes complete the first version. Network discovery can find the inverter, while attached meters and batteries appear as their own devices. Diagnostics, RS485 serial connections, fault and charging states, and writable power and storage settings round out the integration.

The implementation also accounts for two practical hazards: SolarEdge equipment permits only a small number of simultaneous Modbus connections, and transient zero or lower energy readings must not corrupt long-term statistics.
