Music Assistant gives Smart Shuffle and Smart Fades an optional way to work together. When both are enabled, upcoming tracks can be reordered using their tempo, key and change in energy, while the existing recency rules and candidate selection remain in charge.
Related work improves what listeners hear when the vocal-collision guard cannot find a suitable transition. It now falls back to an approximately eight-second volume crossfade; only severe vocal overlap keeps the short emergency handoff. Quick fades no longer bury an incoming track under the full equalizer handoff, and unreliable wall-to-wall vocal detections no longer block every usable blend.
Crossfade setting changes on continuous streams take effect from the next track rather than waiting for a new listening session.
