People using Home Assistant’s Jewish Calendar integration can have event summaries and descriptions follow their configured language. The calendar platform previously assembled that text from English strings even though the underlying library already translated Hebrew dates, holidays, the weekly Torah portion, the Omer count, Daf Yomi and prayer times.
The change uses those translated names and reapplies the selected language while serving calendar requests, avoiding a task-local setting that could otherwise fall back to Hebrew. Existing English wording changes in a few places to match the library’s terminology. Amit Finkelstein authored the work; gjohansson-ST and tsvi reviewed and approved it.
