Music Assistant wakes compatible Sonos portable speakers when someone starts playback or turns the player on. Battery-powered Move, Move 2 and Roam speakers previously appeared unavailable after going to sleep, leaving people to wake them physically.
Marvin Schenkel adds the network wake request for speakers that advertise support for it, with a real Move 2 responding in about three seconds. The feature uses the player’s native power control. Turning it off in Music Assistant does not put the speaker to sleep remotely; Sonos still handles that through its own idle timer.
