Sendspin’s C++ command-line player replaces its Mac audio dependency with the audio services built into macOS. The previous Mac binary could abort before playing anything if Homebrew’s PortAudio library was absent.

Chris tested the native output on a MacBook Pro with built-in speakers, a USB audio interface and a DisplayPort monitor, including playback in a Music Assistant group. Existing configurations that name a PortAudio output on a Mac need to select its CoreAudio equivalent instead; Linux keeps its existing audio options.
