Home Assistant stops repeatedly downloading Blink motion clips it already has. One household with 14 cameras reported about 230 GB of downstream traffic in a week because the same video files were fetched again at every five-minute update.
The integration lets the camera library reuse its cached media instead of forcing a fresh download. Camera state still refreshes on the existing five-minute schedule; the change removes the repeated transfer without lengthening that interval. Dex makes a first contribution to Home Assistant Core with the correction.
