Home Assistant’s Apple app asks what a second or later server may receive before sharing the device’s location and sensors. Previously, adding another server silently selected precise location and all sensors, including readings enabled for a different home.
The new setup step starts with neither choice selected and requires an answer to both. Sensor data stays back until the person decides; abandoning setup leaves the new server sending nothing until its settings are changed.
Bruno Pantaleão Gonçalves also stops setup from silently treating the current Wi-Fi network as the server’s home network. A network must be shown and confirmed before it is saved. Existing saved networks remain in place and can be removed from the server’s Internal URL settings.
