Home Assistant restores Apple Watch controls on home networks where the public server address cannot be reached from inside. The watch previously always chose the remote address, even when its traffic passed through an iPhone connected to the home Wi-Fi.
When the paired iPhone is immediately reachable, it performs the request using its own choice of local or remote connection. The watch keeps its credentials and handles the result. If the relay is unavailable before a request reaches the network, the watch uses its own connection.
