OHF Voice’s Wyoming Faster Whisper service correctly routes Cantonese requests to supported speech-recognition backends. A Cantonese Home Assistant pipeline could previously fail to match the advertised language, and the Qwen3 backend could turn the request into Mandarin by dropping its region code.

Michael Hansen also makes the service report the languages its chosen backend supports instead of advertising the same large list for every engine. Regional language tags reach the appropriate engine, and an English-only Whisper model advertises English alone.

The reported list still has a limit: it does not fully reflect every manually selected alternative model, and adding a backend requires a server restart before the list changes.
