ESPHome adds Zigbee control of switch components on compatible ESP32 devices. A maker can expose a switch through the standard on-and-off format or a generic binary output, allowing commands from Zigbee to change the component’s state.
Contributor luar123 extends the sensor work reported on September 30 from reporting measurements to receiving control commands. The implementation carries incoming Zigbee changes to ESPHome’s main processing loop; it does not add every kind of controllable component.
