Devices built with Matter.js close pairing windows they open themselves, correcting a timer that was created but never started. The default window lasts 48 hours on an unpaired device and 15 minutes on one already paired; explicitly opening it again restarts the timer.
Ingo Fischer also prevents a failed request from leaving the device permanently answering Busy until it restarts. An administrator’s request can replace a window the device opened itself, while a window opened by another administrator still blocks an overlapping request.
