Music Assistant stops repeatedly trying a music-service link after that service says it no longer carries a track. It marks the link unavailable and tries another linked source, rather than letting the withdrawn copy keep blocking playback. Album listings use the same approach when a service no longer has the track list.

Marcel van der Veldt keeps those links so they can recover if synchronization or matching finds the item again. A temporary failure, or a different account lacking the item, does not mark the original account’s link unavailable.
