ESPHome corrects an audio-chip clock setting linked to high microphone noise on the M5Stack Atom EchoS3R. That noise could keep Home Assistant from recognizing when someone had finished speaking. The change makes the ES8311 chip’s clock multiplier match its configured value.
The issue report cited by the contributor found that correcting the setting lowered idle noise enough for Home Assistant to detect the end of speech. abderrahmen bejaoui makes his first contribution to ESPHome with the correction.
