ESPHome Device Builder adds browser-based firmware installation for Lightning LN882H boards through a USB serial adapter. J. Nick Koston tested a generic board using the manual boot guide; it then started ESPHome and joined the network. This extends the browser installation path reported for Beken boards on October 1 to another chip family.
The installer guides makers through holding the boot pin low when a board cannot enter installation mode automatically. Serial logs normally use a different connection; a companion firmware correction lets the logger use the installation port without crashing the device at startup.
