Controllers built with Matter.js stop retaining settings that a device has removed in a firmware update. One reported case left an old light transition-time value visible even after restarting the server and reading the device again; attempts to change it did nothing.
Ingo Fischer makes the controller check saved settings against those the device still supports and request a fresh reading when its stored information needs correcting. Values the device still reports are retained.
