ESPHome corrects how emonTx and emon32 meters feed Home Assistant’s long-term energy statistics. Their net total can decrease during solar export, but ESPHome had labelled it as a counter that only increases, causing those decreases to be treated as meter resets.
Frédéric Metrich changes the default to allow energy to flow in both directions. Pulse counters retain their increasing-only behavior, and explicitly configured overrides stay in place. J. Nick Koston reviewed the implementation.
