Music Assistant’s connection for AI clients replaces a fixed set of twelve tools with discovery across its live command catalogue. Configurable access policies limit which Music Assistant commands a client may use, while a connection wizard issues a separate token for each client.

Mikhail Nevskiy supplies the redesigned connection. Clients that call the former tool names directly must switch to the new search, command-description and command-call tools. Existing library, player and queue resources remain. Marvin Schenkel reviewed the work.
