Music Assistant’s mobile player keeps trying after a connection attempt times out, instead of giving up until the app is restarted. The failure could appear after switching off a car or briefly losing the phone’s network connection: Android Auto looked connected but did not respond.
Michael N also makes a failed audio channel reliably announce that it has closed, allowing the player to reconnect. In his Pixel 10 test running Android 17 with both corrections, the player registered again three seconds after the app reconnected.
