Home Assistant adds an administrator-only connection that lets an AI assistant read recent system errors and warnings. Its first tool searches the system log, giving a configured conversation agent or external AI client evidence for investigating a problem.
Allen Porter separates this system-management connection from Assist’s existing access to exposed household entities. Administrators can filter log entries by severity or source, limit the results and optionally include exception details.
Selecting the connection gives the agent access to those messages and requested traces, which may be sent to its configured AI provider. Its access is not restricted to the entities normally shared with Assist.
