Home Assistant gives Peblar owners control of the settings behind Custom Solar charging. Automations can set how much surplus starts a charging session, the desired power exchange with the grid during charging, and whether charging begins immediately when the car is plugged in.
A zero grid target uses the available surplus; a negative target keeps some power flowing to the grid, while a positive target permits extra grid power. Each control changes only its own setting, preserving the others.
Franck Nijhof builds on the mode selector included in Home Assistant 2026.10. The new controls replace the workaround of sending a raw request to the charger’s internal interface.
