Matter.js server and its Python client correct failures when devices are added to or removed from a bridge. An addition could reach Home Assistant before the corresponding device information, interrupting its Matter connection. Removing a device made of several parts could instead remove the bridge’s own entry.

Ingo Fischer makes the server send updated device information before announcing an addition and keeps the client’s device relationships intact until the removal arrives. Bridges are also recognized when their grouping point appears somewhere other than the first position.

The changes were checked with a commissioned test bridge and Home Assistant’s actual removal handling. Deeply nested parts that previously appeared on the bridge move to their correct device. Further Home Assistant work is still needed for some bridge relationships and for removing standalone parts.
