The Open Home Foundation’s Device Database makes products easier to find and adds links to compare their prices. Searches tolerate misspellings and missing accents: “samsnug” finds Samsung, while “hue lighting” searches for Hue within the Lighting category.
Piero adds category recognition in the visitor’s language and highlights matching text. Device pages also gain links to price-comparison sites, with the country remembered from the previous choice or initially suggested from the browser’s timezone. These are links out to comparison services, rather than prices collected by the database.
