Music Assistant picks up listening progress from gPodder clients that identify an episode only by its web address. Those updates previously never reached Music Assistant, leaving people switching between podcast apps without the correct place to resume.
Fabian Munkes makes synchronization compare the time of each update so an older gPodder position does not replace a newer Music Assistant one. Opening an episode list stops adding another play for every listened episode. A full resynchronization can still add an extra play for entries already in the history.
