Music Assistant strengthens the boundary around a Local files source so playback, artwork and library scanning read only files inside its chosen folder. It checks the file it actually opens and hands that same open file to its media tools, avoiding a second lookup of a path that could have changed.
Marcel van der Veldt applies the check when playback starts, including queued tracks and every seek, and to multi-file audiobooks, lyrics, playlists and folder scans. WebDAV and cloud sources keep their existing URL-based playback.
