Home Assistant stops waiting for the first iCloud calendar and Reminders download during integration setup. Accounts with a large history of completed reminders could otherwise spend minutes or hours starting, or have setup cancelled altogether.
Calendar and task data load in the background, and completed reminders are excluded by default. To keep seeing those old tasks, enable Include completed reminders in the Apple iCloud integration’s options. Individual data requests also gain a five-minute timeout instead of waiting indefinitely.
