Home Assistant adds LEDVANCE to its Works with Home Assistant programme with 116 certified devices. The range spans bulbs, ceiling and wall lights, strips, outdoor lighting, plugs and wall switches, giving households a wider choice of tested devices for local control.
All of the certified devices use Matter over Wi-Fi. In the announcement, Jacqueline Ajayi says Home Assistant’s in-house team tested them over that connection and LEDVANCE has committed to long-term support. They work without a cloud service, so their ordinary control does not depend on a remote server remaining online.
The certification applies to the listed models, rather than every LEDVANCE or OSRAM product. An unlisted device may still work with Home Assistant; it has not necessarily passed the programme’s testing and requirements.
