Matter.js Server adds a Talk control to its camera dashboard, letting someone watching a compatible camera send audio from the browser’s microphone. Opening the live view does not ask for microphone access; talking must be switched on separately.
Ingo Fischer adds the control alongside a server interface for camera streams and snapshots. Talk requires a camera that reports two-way audio and a speaker, and a browser page served through HTTPS or localhost. A live test verified audio in both directions and that talking stopped when the microphone was switched off or unplugged.
This is support in Matter.js Server’s own dashboard and client interfaces; it does not establish camera talkback in Home Assistant. Cameras that alternate between speaking and listening have not been tested live.
