Home Assistant’s Teslemetry connection reads live Powerwall values directly from a paired gateway every five seconds and configuration settings every thirty seconds. If the gateway cannot be reached, the connection falls back to cloud values.
Local readings extend the direct command route introduced earlier. A successful setting change keeps its requested value until the relevant local or cloud source reports again, preventing an intervening update from briefly undoing it on screen. Entity availability still follows the Teslemetry stream, so this does not establish an offline operating mode.
