Music Assistant’s mobile app restores the playback notification on Android 9 through 12. Those versions showed an empty card because the app supplied artwork but relied on newer Android behavior to fill in the song details and buttons.
Andrii Mitnovych supplies the title, artist and playback state directly, alongside previous, play or pause, and next controls. The card also mirrors up to two configured actions, such as switching players, marking a favorite or seeking.
