Music Assistant lets an unpaired Sendspin device send audio after its owner explicitly approves the input. Previously, connecting without pairing disabled the input entirely, so a device’s line-in appeared only after pairing.
Devices with an input show a setup choice: connect unpaired with the input, connect without it, or pair the device. Existing devices ask once after updating because an earlier saved setting did not establish explicit approval. The input can be enabled or disabled later, and disabling an active input stops playback immediately.
Maxim Raznatovski supplies the Music Assistant change and the corresponding permission support in Sendspin’s Python server. Marvin Schenkel reviewed the Music Assistant work.
