ESPHome stops turning unreadable Teleinfo meter values into zero. For an accumulated energy reading, that false zero could make Home Assistant treat the next valid reading as a new meter cycle and add the meter’s entire total to its statistics again.
Frédéric Metrich changes the parser to warn and skip values that are not numbers, while preserving genuine zero readings. This prevents one source of artificial consumption spikes without requiring a custom filter.
