Home Assistant opens contributors.home-assistant.io as a single starting point for people who want to help, whether they write code, translate, test betas, improve documentation, design or answer community questions. Each area begins with a concrete first contribution, and the getting-started guide puts paths that need no code first.

In the launch post, Franck Nijhof describes a beginner’s GitHub guide that walks through a first change in the browser, a glossary explaining old and current terms, and a roadmap guide following an idea through to completed work. The design section lets readers try actual Home Assistant interface components while reading their guidance.

The site replaces the developer, design and data portals. Existing links and developer-blog posts keep their destinations through redirects, so bookmarks and older guides remain useful. Search runs in the browser without sending the query away.
