ESPHome expands its Sensirion SEN6x support with particle counts across five size ranges and diagnostic readings for problems such as a failing fan or measurement channel. The fault readings are checked even when an ordinary measurement fails, helping a maker distinguish a sensor fault from the air it is measuring.
Brandon Harvey also adds temperature compensation and a configurable warm-up period. CO₂-capable models gain self-calibration, altitude and air-pressure settings, including pressure supplied by another sensor. The hardware checks cover a SEN65 for particle readings and temperature settings; its lack of CO₂ sensing means those controls remain specific to the appropriate variants.
