Home Assistant’s iPhone app stops leaving a locally received Live Activity invisible until the app opens. The notification extension waits for the app to confirm that it displayed the activity, instead of acknowledging delivery immediately.
If the app is in the background or does not answer within two seconds, delivery falls back to Apple’s push-to-start service while the local push connection is registered again. This repairs a regression introduced by the recent local-push reconnection changes.
