Music Assistant preserves the sign-in updates sent back by YouTube Music instead of continuing to reuse an ageing copy. It also renews the session every ten minutes, reducing the need to paste fresh sign-in cookies when the saved session expires.
The setup guide adds a necessary step: copy the cookie from an incognito window, then close that window without signing out. Leaving it open lets the browser keep changing the same session. Existing saved settings keep their format, and a genuinely expired session still asks for fresh credentials.
