ESPHome adds a way to show a browser dashboard on an e-paper or LCD panel. A computer runs the browser and shares its screen through VNC, a remote-screen protocol; the ESPHome device displays that picture. The component was tested on an M5Paper using the Home Assistant VNC web browser add-on.

Companion work compresses a dashboard screen from about one megabyte to tens of kilobytes and skips unchanged tiles. That prevents an e-paper display from refreshing needlessly whenever the remote browser repaints.

This first version is view-only and connects to servers that do not require a password. Password authentication and forwarding touchscreen input are separate follow-up work. Petar Petrov supplies the component and makes his first contribution to ESPHome’s documentation with its guide.
