Home Assistant deprecates UniFi Protect’s doorbell binary sensor and the camera’s last-ring and last-motion sensors for removal in 2027.1. Owners should use the doorbell and motion-detection event entities instead; a repair lists automations and scripts that still refer to the old sensors.
New installations and newly added cameras no longer receive these sensors. Unlike the setup controls and health readings already scheduled for removal, these doorbell and motion signals have replacement event entities.
