Home Assistant repairs downloads rejected after GitHub began sending larger security headers with its release files. The failure can block Home Assistant OS updates, hardware firmware updates and repository downloads in the new Marketplace before the file itself arrives.

Core 2026.10.4, published on October 24, includes the shared-client correction used by hardware firmware downloads. The Supervisor and Marketplace fixes address the same failure separately; they are not part of that Core patch. The connections accept larger response headers instead of rejecting GitHub’s roughly 9 KiB header at the previous limit of about 8 KiB.
