Music Assistant chooses an audio format supported by every room in a Raumfeld group. Previously, a Stereo M limited to 96 kHz could fall silent after joining a One S playing at 192 kHz, because the host forwarded the stream without converting it for the less capable speaker.
When another room joins, the connection can restart the queue near its current position in a compatible format. Live radio restarts at the live point. Removing a room leaves the music playing at its existing format until the next start, and grouping rooms in the Raumfeld app follows the same check.
The check considers every format offered when playback started, so enabling higher sample rates can cause a restart even when the actual track did not need one. Simanias tested the change with a One S and Stereo M.
