Music Assistant adds a connection that makes WLED lights react to the music playing through a speaker. Will Tatam makes his first contribution to Music Assistant’s server with the addition. Each connection represents a lighting zone, and grouping its virtual player with a real speaker supplies the audio information that drives the lights.
A zone is identified by a network port rather than one light’s address. WLED devices join it by selecting the matching audio-sync port in their own settings, allowing several lights to follow the same zone. The connection carries loudness, frequency and rhythm information through WLED’s existing audio-sync protocol.
