ESPHome prevents a saved crash report from keeping some RISC-V ESP32 devices in a restart loop. After one fault, printing the report could read an unmapped memory address, crash again and save another report that repeated the same failure at the next boot.

Clyde Stubbs limits those checks to accessible program code. In a deliberately induced fault test on an ESP32-P4 M5Stack Tab5 with external RAM enabled, the old code restarted 25 times in 40 seconds; the correction printed the original report once and booted normally.
