Linux Voice Assistant plays a sound when a request ends without a spoken reply, such as after a timeout, an error or no detected speech. Previously, it returned silently to idle, leaving people unsure whether it was still listening.
David Markey makes a first contribution to Linux Voice Assistant with the cue, which is enabled by default and can be changed or disabled. It does not play after a spoken reply or while a conversation continues, and paused music resumes after the sound finishes.
