Music Assistant gives externally started Cast sessions the controls their apps support. Tidal previously received no controls because its name appeared in uppercase, so a pause was treated as a stop that quit the app and disconnected the casting phone.

The connection also reads the available commands for apps outside its known list, such as TuneIn, after they load media. Those apps can expose their supported pause, seek or queue controls instead of receiving no controls at all.
