Music Assistant reads a personal artist-information folder to supply biographies and artwork, including for artists who have no music folder of their own. That covers supporting artists, compilation appearances and artists heard through streaming services.
The new Local metadata connection reads Kodi-style folders and artist.nfo files. Local descriptions replace online values and still work with online lookups disabled. It only reads the folder; when that folder cannot be reached, existing information stays in place until a later retry.
