ESPHome exposes the LD2410 radar’s built-in background-noise calibration, allowing makers to set its detection thresholds for a room without using HiLink’s PC tool. The routine needs module firmware 2.44 or newer and an empty detection area, with fans and ventilation running as usual.

A button starts a measurement lasting 10 to 120 seconds. Optional sensors show when it is running and whether the module reports success or failure; a completed run without either result is marked Unconfirmed. ESPHome then reads back the thresholds the radar chose.

bhuveshm29 makes their first ESPHome contribution with the addition, continuing an earlier proposal by anunayk. The contributor reports hardware use of the same calibration logic on LD2410C modules; this port and its refusal handling were checked by compilation.
