Home Assistant adds brightness and power controls for computer displays through System Bridge. Each screen that reports the relevant capability gets a brightness control from 0 to 100 percent, a power switch, or both.
Disconnected screens become unavailable. A monitor that cannot carry out a command reports System Bridge’s error instead of pretending it succeeded. The contributor checked brightness control on a Linux laptop’s built-in panel; support still depends on the display and its control interface.
