Home Assistant adds spoken feedback to search pickers so a screen-reader user can tell when a query has changed the list. After a short pause in typing, the picker announces the search text and matching result count, including when there are no matches.
The count excludes section headings and permanent actions such as adding a custom item. Chanelle makes her first contribution to the Home Assistant frontend with the change.
