ESPHome adds finer low-brightness control for lights driven by an ESP32’s LED controller. Optional hardware dithering spreads fractional brightness levels across pulses, reducing the visible jumps that gamma correction can leave near the bottom of a fade.

Jakub Sztandera makes his first contribution to ESPHome with the addition. It stays off by default and was checked on ESP32-C3 hardware; other supported ESP32 variants were checked against their register layouts and compiled. Very low switching frequencies and brightness can still introduce visible flicker.
