ESPHome adds Bluetooth control for Daikin’s BRC1H Madoka wall controller. A nearby ESP32 can read the room temperature and change operating mode, heating and cooling targets, and fan speed through the same Bluetooth service used by Daikin’s smartphone app.
On first connection, the wall controller shows a pairing code for the owner to confirm. The ESP32 keeps the resulting bond for later connections. Petapton makes their first contribution to ESPHome with the integration, tested against a real BRC1H.
