Home Assistant gives AI conversation agents a way to schedule a request such as turning the lights off in five minutes. Previously, delayed commands were offered only on devices that supported timers. The agent supplies a self-contained instruction because Home Assistant starts a fresh conversation when the time comes.

Home Assistant also carries the requester’s identity into the delayed action. Previously it ran without a user, which skipped entity permission checks and left the logbook without the name of the person who asked. The scheduled action now respects that person’s access and links back to the original request.
